Coverage

The policy extends to all products approved for sale by the sponsoring broker/dealer (FundEx Investments Inc.), including but not limited to the sale life insurance, mutual funds, guaranteed investment certificates, and associated financial planning activities.

Limits of Liability
(Single Limit Aggregate applies unless provincial requirements mandate higher)

The American Home policy offers the choice of the following limits:
$1,000,000 each claim
$2,000,000 each claim
$5,000,000 each claim

Deductible

$1,000 each Life Insurance/ Accident & Sickness Insurance claim
$5,000 all other claims

Defence Costs

Defence Costs are in Excess of the Limit of Liability

Punitive Damages

$5,000 per claim (inclusive within the limit of liability)

Territory

Worldwide provided that the Claim is made and the suit is brought against the Insured in Canada, the United States of America, its territories or possessions or the District of Columbia.

Prior Acts

Full Prior Acts, subject to a Prior and Pending Litigation Endorsement Exclusion

Assistants

Coverage extends to a Certificate Holder’s licensed and unlicensed assistants (excluding life licensed assistants)

Extended Reporting

Extended Reporting Period available to purchase 1 to 5 years at the following:
1 year   @ 100% of the premium                    2 years @ 125% of the premium
3 years @ 150% of the premium                    4 years @ 175% of the premium
5 years @ 200% of the premium

Vicarious Liability

The policy extends to provide vicarious liability coverage to the firm under which the Insured is or was doing business.

Defence Costs

Sub-limit to a maximum of $10,000 per Certificate Holder

Loss Prevention and Control Seminars

Agents participating in Loss Prevention and Control Seminars receive a 5% discount effective from their first day of coverage.
